Traditional Mysore-Style Ashtanga Yoga
Experience Ashtanga Yoga as it has been traditionally taught in Mysore, India. In this unique class format, you practice at your own pace and in your own time, learning postures one by one.
You’ll only move on when you can either remember the sequence or have mastered the posture to the best of your ability. This means you’ll never have to memorize more than two or three new postures at a time.
The teacher is there to guide you, offering personalized adjustments and support as needed. Often described as a one-to-one class in a group setting, this approach ensures that your practice is tailored to your individual needs and abilities.
This class is suitable for everyone, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. If you’re more familiar with led classes, cheat sheets are available to help you transition to this style of learning.
There is a two hour practice window. We open from 5:30pm to 7:30pm but you can join any time and do however long your practice is, leaving when you have completed your practice.
Important Note: This is not a led class. You won’t follow a teacher at the front of the room. Instead, you’ll work at your own pace, while the teacher moves around the room to provide guidance and support.
